Canandaigua woman used employer’s credit card for $75,000 in personal expenses

A local woman was arrested by New York State Police for allegedly misusing her employer’s business credit cards, according to authorities. Monique Barrette-Lewis, 42, of Canandaigua, is accused of spending $75,000 over a six-month period for personal gain, with no legitimate business-related expenses.

State troopers took Barrette-Lewis into custody on May 9th, following an investigation into the fraudulent activities. The charges against her include grand larceny in the second degree and third degree, along with a first-degree scheme to defraud charge.

Barrette-Lewis faces serious legal consequences if convicted.
