Montezuma Audubon Center to host annual golf benefit for conservation efforts in the Finger Lakes

The Montezuma Audubon Center announced it will hold its annual benefit at the Wayne Hills Country Club on June 10, featuring a golf tournament to support bird conservation efforts in New York’s Finger Lakes region. Participants will enjoy a day filled with golf on the manicured fairways of the celebrated club, alongside activities like a cocktail reception, a bucket raffle, and a dinner with awards.

Director Chris Lajewski highlighted the event’s importance for supporting the Audubon’s ongoing initiatives in science, education, advocacy, and habitat conservation. The benefit aims to provide crucial funding for preserving vital bird habitats across the region, addressing the urgent needs imposed by environmental changes.

The event also offers an online auction, open from June 1-11, allowing broader community participation. Available items include birding tours and local artwork, with all proceeds going towards the conservation efforts championed by the Montezuma Audubon Center.
