Governor Kathy Hochul and her husband, William Hochul, reported a combined income of nearly $2 million last year, according to their joint tax returns which were released on Friday. The couple’s earnings included significant contributions from both their professional roles and investments.
Governor Hochul earned approximately $250,000 from her salary as the state’s chief executive. Her husband, a former employee at hospitality company Delaware North, made $1,467,116 in 2023. This income came from his role at the company which serves the Buffalo Bills’ Highmark Stadium, along with over $125,000 from deferred payments and a pension related to his previous federal prosecutor position.
The Hochuls also reported additional income from dividends and interest amounting to over $60,000. They contributed $84,780 to charitable causes and paid $733,162 in state and federal taxes, reflecting their financial activities over the past year.
