Work begins on new housing development in Elbridge near golf course

Excavation has begun on a new townhouse-style apartment complex on Route 5 in Elbridge, marking the end of a quiet winter for the 6-acre construction site. Located opposite the Millstone Golf Course and adjacent to the Bailiwick Market & Cafe, the project will feature 10 side-by-side units, complete with a 28-foot driveway and 13 parking spaces.

The Auburn Citizen reports the development is spearheaded by Andrew Aupperle, owner of the Camillus-based excavation company, Siteworks Inc.

Originally proposed to consist of two buildings with six to eight units each, the plan was revised last fall to the current single 10-unit building, with a request from authorities to monitor environmental impacts and address septic system concerns.
