This April, the Montezuma Audubon Center invites families to celebrate spring with a series of outdoor activities designed for children and adults. With school out, the center offers a perfect opportunity for kids to engage in learning and fun through a variety of nature-based programs. Highlights include the April Break Day of Play and the Bird Friendly Homes workshop.

On April 5 the April Break Day of Play will entertain students aged 6-12 with science experiments, crafts, birding walks, and nature games. The event, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., requires pre-registration due to limited space and has a participation fee of $35. Then, on April 6, the Bird Friendly Homes workshop will teach participants how to create bird-conservation areas in their living spaces, including a hands-on session to make homes more welcoming to birds.

Both events will take place at the Montezuma Audubon Center in Savannah. The Bird Friendly Homes workshop is open to children and adults, with a fee of $10 per participant. Pre-registration is essential for these popular activities aimed at fostering a love for nature and conservation among the community.
