On Friday, first responders were called to a vehicle fire on Route 64 in the town of East Bloomfield.
The call came in around 9:30 a.m., according to a news release from the sheriff’s office, who said East Bloomfield Fire Department responded to the blaze.
Upon arrival, they found a 2015 Jeep Patriot with a large volume of fire showing from the engine area.
Firefighters put out the blaze before the damage could spread beyond the vehicle. No injuries were reported either.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a mechanical issue.
