Dattellas records 100th point during 5-point game at UAlbany

Senior Anthony Dattellas became the 18th Hobart lacrosse player in the program’s Division I history to record 100 career points during a five-point effort against the University of Albany this afternoon. His fourth goal of the game tied the contest at 10 early in the fourth quarter, but the Great Danes scored the game’s final four goals to earn a 14-10 win on their home turf.

Dattellas joined the 100-point club with his 36th career assist, setting up Hobart’s first goal of the game. He also extended his point streak to 17 games. Dattellas added four second half goals, the last two tied the game at 9-all and 10-all. Graduate student Troy Barthelme added three goals and junior James Greene scored twice. Sophomore David Peterkin (1-1), senior Chad Bach (0-2) and junior Will Delano (0-2) also finished with two points.

On the defensive end of the field, sophomore Elhanan Wilsonmade a career-high 18 saves.

UAlbany’s Graydon Hogg scored a game-high five goals. Ryan Doherty and Amos Whitcomb both chipped in three points. Regan Endres won 14-of-24 faceoffs and grabbed a game-high 10 ground balls. Landon Whitney made eight saves to earn the win in the goal for the Great Danes.


  • UAlbany won 16-of-28 faceoffs and had a 35-28 edge in ground balls.

  • UAlbany jumped out to a 4-0 lead behind four different goal scorers.
  • Dattellas fed a wide-open Greene on the left side of the goal to get Hobart on the board with 6:15 left in the first quarter.
  • Peterkin put away a pass from Michael Cardinali in the final minute of the opening frame, making it a 5-2 contest after one.
  • Both sides scored twice in the second quarter with Barthelme tallying twice for Hobart.
  • Hogg scored an extra-man goal to open the second half scoring, giving the Great Danes an 8-4 lead.
  • Hobart ripped off three straight goals to pull within one by the midpoint of the quarter.
  • Barthelme completed his hat trick to start the run.
  • Dattellas followed with an extra-man goal, the first allowed by the UAlbany defense this season.
  • Greene made it an 8-7 game at the 8:24 mark. Both Dattellas’ and Greene’s goals were set up by Delano.
  • The Great Danes padded their lead near the 7-minute mark, but Dattellas took matters into his own hands, scoring back-to-back to tie the game at 9 with 2.8 seconds left in the third quarter.
  • UAlbany eased back in front with the first goal of the fourth, but Dattellas again knotted the game with just over 10 minutes remaining.
  • Doherty gave the Great Danes (1-4) the lead for good with a goal at the 7:53 mark and Hogg followed with a natural hat trick to seal the outcome.


  • Dattellas raised his career points total to 104. He’s three points behind No. 17 Tommy Mott ’22 on Hobart’s Division I list.
  • Dattellas jumped from 17th to 15th on the Statesmen DI goals list, raising his total to 68, passing Jason Ouellet ’01 and Sam Miller ’12. Chris David ’07 and Mike Conklin ’06 are tied for 13th place with 74 goals.
  • In addition to his 17-game point streak, Dattellas has also scored a goal in seven consecutive games.
  • Wilson’s 18 saves are the most by a Statesman since Kevin Holtby ’23 had 23 against Bryant on April 3, 2021.


  • Hobart (2-4) will return to Boswell Field to face Le Moyne (1-3). The opening faceoff is scheduled for noon Saturday, March 16.
