Tyre Supervisor Elizabeth Partee recognized by County Government Institute

Tyre Supervisor Elizabeth Partee was recently celebrated alongside four other distinguished county officials from New York State. This recognition came as a result of their successful completion of the County Government Institute (CGI) program, earning them a certificate that underscores their commitment to leadership, accountability, and integrity. The graduation ceremony took place at the New York State Association of Counties Legislative Conference in Albany, highlighting their dedication to enhancing local government operations.

CGI, a collaborative educational effort with Cornell University, aims to equip county officials with the essential knowledge and skills for effective governance. The program covers a wide range of critical topics, including government ethics and finance, which are taught by a mix of NYSAC staff, seasoned county leaders, and Cornell faculty. This comprehensive curriculum ensures that graduates are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of local government today.

The program not only fosters professional growth among county officials but also encourages a collaborative learning environment, allowing them to gain new perspectives and strategies for addressing community issues. As CGI graduates, these leaders have demonstrated a significant investment in their roles, benefiting both themselves and the communities they serve with their enhanced ability to govern effectively.
