The vehicle had driven off the end of Rivershore Drive onto the ice in the bay, where the ice was thinner, leading to the truck’s submersion. The New York State Police (NYSP) Dive Team was called to the scene and recovered Hubbard’s body from the submerged vehicle.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the incident likely occurred around 8:43 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20. The ongoing investigation seeks to determine the precise circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
