Buffalo gang member sentenced to 18 years in federal prison

Roderick Arrington, known as Ra-Ra, aged 42 from Buffalo, NY, has been sentenced to 216 months (18 years) in prison for racketeering conspiracy. The sentence was handed down by Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford, as announced by U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross.

Arrington was identified as a member of the Schuele Boys Gang, active in the Schuele Street area on Buffalo’s East Side. The gang, as per Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy C. Lynch, was involved in numerous violent crimes and distributed illegal drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana. This activity contributed significantly to local crime and drug trade issues.

The successful prosecution and sentencing of Arrington is the result of collaborative efforts by various law enforcement agencies, including the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Buffalo Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the New York State Police. This case highlights the ongoing commitment of federal and local authorities to combat organized crime and drug distribution networks.
