An 89-year-old driver was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after her minivan collided with a tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon at State Route 64 and County Road 2, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Marcia Rausch of Conesus was traveling east on County Road 2 and turned onto Route 64, where her Chrysler Pacifica struck the driver-side fuel tank of a northbound tractor-trailer operated by Blaine Becker, 64, of Harrison Valley, Pennsylvania.
The Bristol Fire Department removed Rausch from her vehicle, and Canandaigua Emergency Squad took her to the hospital.
Rausch was issued traffic tickets for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to yield the right of way, deputies said.
Becker was not injured in the crash.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation responded to a diesel spill, while state police assisted with traffic control. The Sheriff’s Office said the road was closed after the crash but was expected to reopen.
