Breaking Down the 2024 Buffalo Bills Game Schedule

Following their division-sealing 21-14 come-from-behind victory over the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills schedule for the 2024 NFL season is officially set, and it’s a tough one.

Let’s break down everything you need to know about the Bills schedule next season.

First though, if you’re looking to bet on the Bills, take a look at the legal sports betting states for up-to-date information about online betting regulations.

NFL Football

Home Games 2024

  • Miami Dolphins
  • New England Patriots
  • New York Jets
  • Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Tennessee Titans
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • San Francisco 49ers
  • Kansas City Chiefs

Despite winning their division, at first glance it seems like the Bills have been blessed with a relatively easy home schedule on paper. Only three of their eight opponents were playoff teams this year, with half having losing records.

But, dig a little deeper and you quickly realize that this is a deceptively challenging slate of teams. The 49ers, Chiefs, and Dolphins need no introduction, with their high-powered offenses posing an immense challenge even in the bitter cold of Buffalo. On the other side of the scale, the Patriots are seemingly a long way from being competitive, and the Bills should be able to see them off at home in spite of this season’s struggles.

It’s the other four teams on this list where things get interesting. None of them made the playoffs, but all of them have serious potential to do so next year. The Jaguars were the AFC’s #1 seed at one time before losing five out of six to crash spectacularly out of the postseason picture. The Cardinals and Jets both struggled with poor QB play that held them back from their true potential but have the surrounding talent to beat quality teams. And even the Titans had a handful of impressive outings behind rookie quarterback Will Levis

With only one cakewalk on paper at home, the Bills should be ready for quite a few tough fights at Highmark Stadium in 2024.

Away Games 2024

  • Miami Dolphins
  • New England Patriots
  • New York Jets
  • Houston Texans
  • Indianapolis Colts
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • Detroit Lions
  • Baltimore Ravens

Brutal, demanding, and formidable – those are just a few of the words you could use to describe the Bills road schedule next season. Three division winners, five playoff teams, and seven squads with winning records, this is just absolutely a murderer’s row any way you twist it.

However, if any team is up to the challenge, it’s certainly the Bills, who overcame a schedule nearly as challenging this season to take home the AFC North crown. Having a tough regular season schedule, if you can overcome it, is a great way to get prepared for playoff football. Going on the road into tough environments like Baltimore, Detroit, and Seattle will be pivotal challenges for a Bills offense that was inconsistent at times, particularly with Stefon Diggs having his worst season since moving to Buffalo, as per an article on Overtime Heroics.

If Buffalo wants to make a push for a 5th straight division title, they’ll need to snag at least four or five wins from this packed road schedule.

Overall, the Bills certainly have their work cut out for them in 2024 on paper, but it’s hard not to get excited from a fan’s perspective. Primetime matchups against other top NFL opponents like the Chiefs, Ravens, and 49ers, plus a sprinkle of promising up-and-coming teams like the Texans, Jaguars, and Lions should lead to a boatload of close exciting games.

If Buffalo can come out of this arduous schedule intact and with a playoff spot, they should be as prepared as they’ve ever been to make a serious run at the Lombardi Trophy.
