Naples man charged with contempt after contacting protected party

Police arrested a Naples man following an investigation into an incident that happened in late-August.

According to police, Jeramiah Mendez, 35, of Naples was charged with second-degree criminal contempt after violating an order of protection on August 28.


That occurred during an incident that happened on Saltonstall Street, according to police.

He was arrested at the same time for failure to appear in city court on a previous charge.

Mendez was transported to the Ontario County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date.
