Arcadia man charged with harassment and child endangerment

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of an Arcadia resident, 43-year-old Frederick R. Dillingham, following a domestic altercation on November 4.

The incident, which occurred on Old Lyons Road in the Town of Lyons at around 9:30 a.m., led to charges against Dillingham of second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities allege that during the dispute, Dillingham became physically violent with his girlfriend in the presence of her 15-year-old son. Responding deputies arrested Dillingham at the scene, who was subsequently transported to the Wayne County Jail. He is scheduled for a Centralized Arraignment at 7:00 p.m.

In the aftermath of the event, the victim has sought a protective order against Dillingham. The case underscores the county’s commitment to protecting residents from domestic violence and ensuring the safety of minors.
