Three rescued after canoe overturns in Seneca Lake

Three people had to be rescued from Seneca Lake late-Friday after a canoe overturned near Randall Crossing Road.


According to deputies, first responders were able to quickly locate the three people- all of whom were 25- and 26-years-old.

They were brought back to Back-Achers Campground where they were staying for the weekend. They were checked over by local EMTs and released.

The Himrod Fire Department, Branchport-Keuka Fire Department, Penn Yan Ambulance, and Yates County Ambulance all assisted.
