The New York Mets (71-84) suffered a third straight loss to the Philadelphia Phillies (86-69), falling 7-5 on Saturday evening at Citizens Bank Park.
New York jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but Philadelphia answered with six straight runs before the Mets cut the lead to one. However, the Phillies scored a late run and held on for the win.
Brandon Nimmo plated a pair of runs with a triple, while Francisco Lindor added a sacrifice fly. Jeff McNeil and Brett Baty recorded two hits each.
Jose Quintana allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits over six innings. Despite the rough outing, the left-hander struck out ten batters.
