Tennessee man arrested in Steuben County for brandishing stolen firearm

Steuben County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 text alert on August 29, 2023, leading to the arrest of Sergio M. Allen, 48, of Tennessee, on I-86 in the Town of Hornellsville.


Allen is accused of threatening another individual by showing a firearm, which was later determined to be stolen.

He faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies. Additionally, Allen was charged with another count of criminal possession of a weapon, as well as menacing.

Following his arrest, which involved the use of K9 Mac to locate the weapon, Allen was presented before the Centralized Arraignment Court and subsequently released.
