Yohanes Kidane, a 22-year-old software engineer at Netflix and a recent Cornell University graduate, has been missing since August 14 after taking a ride-share from San Jose to San Francisco.
The Webster, New York native, who had recently relocated to California, was last seen donning gray sweatpants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black shoes. The next morning, his belongings, including his cell phone, wallet, and backpack, were discovered near the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center.
San Jose Police report that, as of now, there’s no indication of foul play, but the case will stay open until Kidane is found. Prior to his disappearance, Kidane recounted a peculiar experience with an Uber driver to friends and expressed his reluctance towards traveling alone via ride-sharing.
