Spectrum will layoff 273 at DeWitt call center this fall

Spectrum announced its plan to lay off 273 employees from its DeWitt-based call center.

According to a state’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification act notice, the East Syracuse Spectrum Community Solutions center, located at 6005 Fair Lakes Road, will shut its doors on October 27.

While over 250 workers will be affected by this decision, the remaining staff who serve in different capacities within the company will continue their operations at the site.

Some workers have the option to transfer to other Spectrum Community Solutions centers, including one in Buffalo. Pritchard assured that those without roles by the center’s closing date will receive comprehensive severance benefits.
