If you live in the Finger Lakes or Central New York – you’ve seen him on television – and soon, he’ll be in the hall of fame, too.
Veteran news anchor and reporter, Dan Cummings, is set to be inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame this October.
Cummings, who had an illustrious 37-year stint at WSYR-TV, retiring in December 2021, boasts an impressive career. Beginning in radio with stints at WNYR in Rochester, WTKO in Ithaca, and WHEN in Syracuse, Cummings transitioned to NewsChannel 9 in 1984.
Over the years, he held various roles, including reporter, anchor, and news director.
