Jamie Gilmore, 43, of Ontario, who was charged last month with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, says he’s innocent.
He spoke to 13WHAM-TV about his experience and innocence. The incident occurred on July 28, when Gilmore, a paraplegic, woke up in bed with an unexplained injury, suspecting he had been hit with a frying pan.
State troopers later informed Gilmore that he had actually been stabbed with a knife, a revelation corroborated by the account of his son who claimed an argument led to the altercation.
The son alleged that Gilmore had threatened him with a gun during the dispute. He was subsequently released from custody and maintains his innocence.
