Ithaca Festival coming up soon: What’s on the schedule?

The much-anticipated Ithaca Festival is set to once again fill the city with music, art, and community spirit this week.

Running from June 1 through June 4, the annual festival, themed “Planet Ithaca”, brings together a lively parade, vibrant craft fair, and exciting live performances across downtown Ithaca.

The festival, organized by dedicated volunteers since 1977, kicks off with a parade on June 1, at 6 p.m. on Cayuga Street. With over 2,000 participants expected, the parade seeks to both entertain and raise awareness of the diverse activities and unique qualities of Ithaca.

The following three days offer a diverse craft fair with approximately 100 local vendors showcasing a range of products including jewelry, pottery, clothing, toys, and specialty foods.

Meanwhile, over 70 live performances are slated to animate various locations including Dewitt Park, Cayuga Street Circle, and Bernie Milton Pavilion. Additionally, Dewitt Park will host live art demonstrations over the weekend. Late-night revelers can look forward to silent discos in the commons on Friday and Saturday, running from 10 p.m. to midnight.
