The Florida couple accused of dousing a one-year-old in lighter fluid at the Love’s Travel Stop in Tyre last year will spend 9 years in prison.
Jamie Avery and Lisbeth Colado were sentenced to five years of post-release supervision as well.
Both children are expected to make full recoveries from their injuries. However, as part of the arrangement, orders of protection were granted for the infant child, as well as a three year old boy who was found in Avery’s tractor-trailer during the incident.
Both intend to appeal.
