Business owners invited to join Grow Seneca initiative

Seneca County Board of Supervisors Chairman Michael Enslow is urging small business owners in the area to participate in the recently established Grow Seneca Initiative. The program aims to support small businesses in Seneca County helping them start, grow, and navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.

Grow Seneca’s vision is to create a network of current and past small business owners who have experienced the ups and downs of running a business and emerged as successful entrepreneurs. The initiative will provide coaching, advice, and a supportive community for small business owners.

The Seneca County Board of Supervisors is currently considering legislation that would allocate up to $500,000 in America Recovery Act Funding to aid small businesses through grants and related support. The proposal will be discussed by the Ways and Means and Economic Development and Tourism Committees on April 25, 2023.

“Small businesses are at the core of the Seneca County economy, and we owe it to them to be as supportive and helpful as we can be. There is so much to be learned from our successful businesses, and I hope that these leaders will come forward and share their expertise with those getting started and our next generation of small business entrepreneurs,” said Chairman Enslow.

Business leaders interested in joining the Grow Seneca Initiative are encouraged to email [email protected] or call 315-539-1700 for more information.
