Geneva Red Wings prepare for 2023 season

The Geneva Red Wings are working hard to prepare for the 2023 season.

This season will have a mix of new players and some who will be returning. One returning player who will be looking to turn a lot of heads in June is Geneva High School graduate Wyatt Patchett. Patchett is currently enrolled and playing at LeMoyne where his statistics prove to be very impressive. He leads the team with a .336 batting average and nine home runs, and 30 RBIs. Patchett has proven to be a quality player in the past season and will look to continue that, helping in any way he can.

In addition to the re-signing of Patchett, the Red Wings have also signed a former Section 5 star pitcher, Devin Georgetti. Georgetti comes to the Red Wings having attended Gates-Chili High School and currently a member of the Finger Lakes Community College Baseball team. Georgetti ranks amongst the top junior college pitchers in the nation, having posted an astounding 1.22 ERA. Tough to hit off of, in just 37 innings of work he has struck 52 batters.

The Red Wings season kicks off June 2 at historical McDonough Park vs. the Auburn Doubledays.
