A 30-year-old incarcerated at the Seneca County Jail is facing new charges after punching a corrections officer in the face and spitting blood at them.
Daniel Bailey, 30, was arrested for second-degree assault, a Class D felony, and aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate, a Class E felony.
The charges stem from an incident inside the Seneca County Jail where Bailey is remanded on unrelated charges. He’s accused of punching a corrections sergeant in the face and spitting blood at them.
The corrections officer sustained physical injuries and had to be treated at Geneva General Hospital.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
