An early morning accident on West Avenue in Middlesex left a 28-year-old man injured and hospitalized.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Steven Hall was traveling north when he lost control of his car while attempting to avoid a deer on the icy road.
The accident occurred on Sunday morning, and Hall’s car went off the road and traveled 25 feet down an embankment before striking a tree. Hall was the only occupant of the car at the time of the accident.
The Middlesex Ambulance and Middlesex Fire were called to the scene to assist the Sheriff’s Office in the rescue effort.
Hall was taken to Thompson Hospital for treatment of left leg and left side pain.
