Landlord violates court order, faces felony assault charge after injuring deputy in Steuben County

Deputies arrested a 55-year-old Bath man following a tenant-landlord dispute.

Scott Wilkins, 55, was arrested after withholding utilities from a tenant in violation of a Steuben County Court Order.

It’s further alleged that when Wilkins was placed under arrest- he resisted causing injury to the deputy.

As result, Wilkins was charged with felony assault, contempt, obstruction, willful violation of a lease, and resisting arrest.

All of the charges will be answered at a later date.
