USPS says two mail carriers in Rochester were robbed

Two United States Postal Service (USPS) letter carriers were robbed in two separate incidents on Tuesday, January 31st, according to the US Postal Inspection Service.

The incidents occurred within one hour of each other, with the first taking place on High Point Trail at 12:40 p.m. and the second in the area of Tubbman Way and Clarissa Street.


The Postal Inspection Service reported that the suspects stole equipment from the carriers, but the carriers were not physically harmed.

The US Postal Inspection Service is conducting an investigation into the two incidents and is asking for the public’s assistance in providing information. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the US Postal Inspection Service hotline at (877)-876-2455.
