Syracuse drops third straight, falls to Virginia 67-62

Once again, the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team failed to close out a game.

Missed free throws and rebounds in the final minutes doomed Syracuse (13-10, 6-5) in a 67-62 loss to the Virginia Cavaliers (17-3, 8-2) on Monday night at the JMA Wireless Dome.

Just two players finished in double figures for the Orange. Judah Mintz led the way with a game-high 20 points. Jesse Edwards poured in 14 but fouled out late in the game. Joe Girard struggled yet again as he netted just seven points.
