The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team grabbed a two-point lead with 53 seconds left in regulation but could not hold on as they fell to the North Carolina Tar Heels, 72-68, on Tuesday night at the JMA Wireless Dome. With the loss, Syracuse dropped to (13-8, 6-4) on the season.

North Carolina scored the game’s last six points, four of them at the free-throw line, to prevent the Orange from securing the win.
