Montour Falls residents must decide by July 16 whether to join a new garbage and recycling program set to begin this fall, according to officials. Village officials are offering in-person and phone registration July 8–11, with residents who don’t respond automatically enrolled.
Greenleaf Recycling & Disposal will handle pickup, and landlords are automatically included, with unpaid balances added to property taxes. Residents opting out must manage their own trash and could face fines for uncollected waste.
The exact program launch date will be announced later, and all tote sizes can be previewed at village hall.
