The Penn Yan Police Department announced two felony arrests following a drug investigation and grand jury indictment.
Peggy Perez, 34, of Dundee has been charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class B felony; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class B felony; fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class D felony; and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony.
The charges stem from Perez selling methamphetamine in the village of Penn Yan on multiple dates in 2022.
In a second announced arrest, Loraine Zavaglia, 60, of Branchport was indicted for selling methamphetamine in Penn Yan.
She was also charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class B felony; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class B felony; fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a Class D felony; and criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony.
Both were arraigned on the charges and released in accordance with state law.
