Deputies: Speeding, erratic driving led to traffic stop in Williamson

Deputies arrested a Fairport woman following a traffic stop in the town of Williamson.

According to a news release, Sara Murphy, age 37, was charged with speeding, felony DWI, DWI, open container, and other traffic violations following that roadside investigation on Wednesday.


Deputies said the traffic stop occurred around 2:30 a.m.

Murphy was traveling west at a high rate of speed on Route 104. Additionally, deputies said she was driving erratically. She failed field sobriety tests after the traffic stop was initiated.

Murphy’s BAC was found to be 0.13%, according to deputies. She was processed at the Wayne County Jail.
