A vacant building at 197 State Street in the city of Auburn is going to see some serious grant funding.

A $1.5 million award through the Restore NY Communities Initiative will help redevelopment of the structure.

It’s being developed by Housing Visions, according to The Citizen, who says the three-story building will be developed into 16 apartments.

The building is currently owned by the city of Auburn.
