Police say a 26-year-old was arrested after breaking in to the Dollar Tree around 6 a.m. in Ithaca.
A contractor for Dollar Tree was watching security cameras in real-time when a person could be seen moving inside the store damaging property.
Officers responded and set up a perimeter. They were able to see the 26-year-old inside the store.
That person was taken into custody and identified as Edrick Acosta Ramos. Ramos is an Ithaca resident and was charged with third-degree burglary and criminal mischief.
He was arraigned and released. The charges will be answered at a later date.
