Police in Ithaca say they’re investigating a homicide and charges could be coming soon.
On Monday, December 19th around 11:30 a.m. police responded to a reported stabbing in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who was in grave condition. Bangs Ambulance responded shortly after and began treating them.
They were transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to those injuries.
Police identified the victim as Zacharias Moore, age 37, of Ithaca.
The suspect hasn’t yet been charged, but has been identified. Police said in a release that they were remanded to the Tompkins County Jail.
Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to contact IPD.
