The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Ontario man following a traffic stop and roadside investigation.

Deputies arrested Paul Bianchi Jr., age 38, of Ontario for obstruction, resisting arrest, DWI, possession of an open container, and several other violations.

Those charges stem from an investigation into a traffic stop in the town of Ontario where it’s alleged that Bianchi was operating a vehicle eastbound on Ridge Road erratically, failing to stop for multiple posted traffic control devices.

He was asked to participate in field sobriety tests, which he initially agreed to before walking away and fighting with deputies.

Bianchi was transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital after complaining of pain, and further refused a chemical test.

He was transported to the Wayne County Jail and arraigned. The charges will be answered at a later date.
