A Waterloo business is seeking to renew a permit to draw water out of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal.
Bruno Brock, formerly known as Evans Chemetics, is seeking to renew that permit to draw water out of the canal in its effort to produce chemicals at the plant.

The facility is located on East Main Street in the village of Waterloo. It has applied for an Article 15 Title 15 water withdrawal permit, according to the DEC.
A public comment period will happen before the permit is issued.
Currently, the DEC has limited the amount of water the facility can draw per day at 5,964 gallons.
