The chief of the Macedon Center Volunteer Fire Department has passed away.
The news came as a surprise to the community and members of the department.
“It is with very deep sorrow and sadness that we send this message this evening. Tonight our Chief 9-1 passed unexpectedly,” the department wrote on Facebook. “Please keep Chief Adam Weinstein, his wife, and his family in your thoughts and prayers. RIP 9-1.”
There was an outpouring of support on social media for Chief Weinstein’s family.
