The Wayne Eagles and Harley-Allendale-Columbia Wolves fell short of state tiles on Sunday afternoon at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.
Wayne, playing in its first state tournament since 2006, fell to Section I’s Hendrick Hudson in three-straight sets. The Sailors won the first set 25-9 before taking the next two 25-18 and 25-17.
HAC, playing in its first state tournament, fell to Section IX’s Mount Academy in three-straight sets. The loss snapped a 23-game winning streak. The Eagles cruised to a 25-10 victory in the first set before winning the next two 25-20 and 25-14.
Wayne finished the 2022 season with an 18-4 record, while HAC finished 23-1.
