The Syracuse Orange football team (6-5) lost their fifth straight game on Saturday night by falling to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (7-4), 45-35, at Truist Field.
Syracuse held a 24-21 lead at halftime, but Wake Forest grabbed the lead in the third quarter and added to it in the fourth.
Garrett Shrader completed 17-of-31 passes for 324 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Sean Tucker carried the ball 16 times for 106 yards and found the endzone twice. Devaughn Cooper and LeQuint Allen each hauled in touchdowns.
