Vehicle chase ends with crash on Joseph Ave

Police in Rochester are searching for a suspect who stole a car, led officers on a chase, and then crashed the car before running away from the scene.

On Monday, Rochester police said someone had reported their Pontiac Sedan as stolen. On early Friday morning, state police said they saw the car. It was on Milan Street, and after attempting to pull the driver over, they sped off, according News Channel 10.

The police continued to chase the driver of the Pontiac until it crashed near Joseph Avenue and O’Brien Street. According to troopers, the driver got out of the vehicle and ran by foot. Rochester police were called to the scene to help state police with the investigation and to help search for the suspect.

Nobody has been arrested in relation to the crime and anyone who knows anything is asked to call 911.
