The Cayuga Nation says a group of ‘violent extremists’ are responsible for detonating explosives around Seneca Falls over the last several days.
In a press release from the Nation, they say their police department was made aware of activity being conducted by a group of ‘criminals’ near Nation-owned property in Seneca Falls.

“Limited information is available at this time,” the Nation said in a release. “But the CNPD has confirmed that for several days, these individuals have detonated hand thrown incendiary weapons and other explosive devices in the area during the early morning hours.”
The devices are described as Molotov cocktails.
“The CNPD and other agencies are currently investigating this criminal activity. Cayuga Nation Police urge local residents to remain vigilant and report issues or information related to this activity to Nation Police at (315) 651-7590, or to their local law enforcement officials,” Nation officials concluded.
