Representatives of three commercial properties in Canandaigua have won their assessment challenges by route of settlement.
City Council voted to settle legal challenges filed by owners of Parkway Plaza, Nolan’s Restaurant, and Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Co.
Canandaigua National Bank, located at 72 South Main Street, was assessed at $2.34 million. The settlement reduces that figure to $2.24 million through 2024.
Parkway Plaza LP and JADDD Management LLC challenged its assessment of properties at 39 Eastern Boulevard, the Parkway Plaza, and now-vacant former Ponderosa Steakhouse. The property at 39 Eastern was reduced from $6.4 million to 5.4 million. The parcel located at 161 Eastern was reduced from $703,000 to $450,000.
Over at Nolan’s there won’t be any retroactive changes made to assessment for 2019-2021. However, was reduced from $1.97 million to $1.87 million for years 2022 and 2023.
