Senator Pam Helming is joining the American Red Cross to sponsor a community blood drive on Monday, August 22 from 1 p.m.-7 p.m. at Canandaigua American Legion Post 256, located at 454 North Main Street, Canandaigua.
Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment by phone at 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or online.
Senator Helming said, “Donating blood is one of the most impactful ways you can help others and support your community. Your donation could help save someone’s life in an emergency. It could help a child being treated for cancer, an adult experiencing complications during surgery, or a senior with a chronic illness. Thank you to everyone at the American Red Cross for their leadership and service to our communities, and to the Canandaigua American Legion for welcoming donors to the Legion for this blood drive. I encourage everyone who is eligible to give blood to please consider a donation on August 22.”
