Tuesday is the deadline for residents in the Waterloo School District to pick their favorite design for the new Tiger logo for school athletic teams.
Which of the five Tiger designs is your favorite?
Superintendent Terri Bavis emailed residents this week, asking them to choose one of five Tiger logos. The School Board approved the change to “Tigers” on June 13 after complaints that the previous “Indians” nickname and logo were racist.

Some pushback from community on name change
Not everyone in the community agrees with the change. A number of “Indian pride” signs have popped up throughout the district. There’s no word on when the winning logo will be selected.
