Lieutenant Tim Thompson is running for sheriff.
The Fayette resident announced this week that he will run for sheriff in Seneca County.
That announcement comes days after Sheriff Tim Luce said he would not seek another term.
Thompson currently leads the Criminal Investigation Division. He’s currently registered Republican, but told Finger Lakes News Radio that it’s early in the process.
