THE PINTCAST: Lake Drum’s Victor Pultinas on being the first in Geneva, creating an inviting atmosphere, and making great beer and cider (podcast)

In this episode, we talk with Victor Pultinas from Lake Drum Brewery and Cidery in downtown Geneva.

Lake Drum was the first craft brewery in Geneva. We talked about how Victor was ready to leave town, why he couldn’t and how Lake Drum got started. We talked about his love of sour beers and making traditional ciders from local apples. We discussed the friendly, laid-back atmosphere that is the hallmark of Lake Drum and the famous record player and huge vintage vinyl collection.

We talked about the role Victor’s wife, Jenna has played in the growth and popularity of Lake Drum, brewer Rick Morse’s love of simplicity and traditional styles, and the addition of chef and cider maker Luis Segura to the team.

If you want a place where you’ll feel at home the minute you walk in and where the beers and ciders are varied, yet traditional, Lake Drum in downtown Geneva is well worth a visit.
