THE PINTCAST: Brian Mastrosimone; the growth of Lincoln Hill Farms and the 2022 Brewfest on August 13 (podcast)

In this episode, we made the short drive from our home to Lincoln Hill Farms on Route 247, just off 5 & 20 in the town of Canandaigua.

Goodbye city life, Lincoln Hill we are there

Owner Brian Mastrosimone had a successful career buying and selling real estate in Rochester, but decided it was time for something else. He found a beautiful 95-acre property and came up with the idea of creating a scenic wedding venue. From there, somewhat to Brian’s surprise, Lincoln Hill grew into a music venue, and a food and beverage destination.

The property is now 195 acres and Brian emphasizes, that it is first and foremost a farm. Crops are being grown. When I was there, herbs were being picked to be part of a dinner that night. There are hops on the nine waiting to be part of the next great local beer. There’s a herd of goats that may someday be allowed to roam free.

Wedding amenities include a tent that can seat 400 people and a bride’s cabin just steps away, for making those final preparations for the big day.

There’s a complete musical stage, with seating for several thousand fans. Food options have been growing by the year, and there’s a full bar to help you wash it down.

If you want to stay the night, luxurious glamping tents are available for group rental. Imagine getting a group of your friends together and having your own private campground.

In addition to regularly scheduled festivals and musical events, Lincoln Hill hosts Sunday Fun Days throughout the summer. That’s the day to bring the family, enjoy the pond and the grounds, have some great food and drink, and listen to great local music.

Dave Matthews’ guitarist Tim Reynolds to play solo show at Brew Festival

Lincoln Hill will again host its Brewfest on Saturday, August 13 with over 60 breweries and cideries. The highlight of this year’s festival is a rare solo appearance by Dave Matthews Band guitarist Tim Reynolds.

Lincoln Hill is currently a seasonal venue, but Brian has plans to go year-round in the near future. Thanks to Brian for the tour of the property and for his time.
